GAA star Bernard Brogan has revealed that the Dublin team celebrated their win over Kerry on Sunday night with a dance-off in Temple Bar.
The Dubliner admitted that while the they were out in the Quays Bar, he arranged for dance competition between the boys in blue.
Speaking to Anton Savage on Today FM, he explained, “We had a big crowd of Ballymun lads there and another crowd from Summerhill, so I said right, it’s a dance off! It was some craic, and Ballymun came out on top. It was all in, whatever you’ve got, and leave it all out on the floor.”
Bernard continued, “It was phenomenal craic. That was the big one for us, the dance off.”
He also admitted that while the team had a long day and probably should have been exhausted, the cup “kept them going”. However, despite it keeping their spirits up on the night, Bernard hasn’t seen the Sam Maguire cup since their antics in the early hours of that morning.
“I’m sure somebody has it – Jim [Gavin, the Dublin manager] has it at the end of his bed, I’d say.”
