The Peter Mark VIP Style Awards, the biggest and most glamorous event in Ireland’s social calendar, took place tonight, Friday the 21st of April, at The Marker Hotel in Dublin’s Docklands.
The Awards, now in their sixteenth year, are the only national celebration of Irish style, and grow in prominence each year. This time around, VIP is honoured to retain Peter Mark as our title sponsors for the fourteenth year running (the event would not be possible without their unwavering support and loyalty), and delighted to welcome Inglot as our new official Beauty and Makeup Partners, as well as Debenhams as official sponsor of the Most Stylish Online Influencer Award. Not only this, but 2017 sees an exciting new category in the awards, that of Favourite Irish Designer.
Prior to the red carpet kick-off at 6.45pm, some of Ireland’s best known faces from the world’s of TV, radio, film, music, fashion and online were beautified in the buzzing green room by the glam squads of Peter mark and Inglot, after which they and further cream of Irish celebrity walked the red carpet in style, to the glare of the assembled paparazzi bulbs.
Many attendees included nominees across all categories (Ireland’s Most Stylish Woman, Ireland’s Most Stylish Man, Ireland’s Most Stylish Newcomer, Ireland’s Most Stylish Online Influencer, Favourite Irish Designer, Look of the Year and Most Stylish at the Marker), and just some of the big names enjoying the night were Rosanna Davison, Jennifer Zamparelli, Kathryn Thomas, Rozanna Purcell, Celia Holman Lee, Al Porter, as well as world-famous Irish fashion designer Don O’Neill and his husband Pascal Guillermie, who jetted in from their home in New York especially for the event!
After the red carpet, guests enjoyed an electric Bollinger Special Cuvée Champagne reception inside the exclusive hotel, followed by a sumptuous four-course meal created by The Marker’s talented Head Chef Gareth Mullins and his team, which was paired expertly with delicious Torres wine. All the winners were revealed throughout the meal, which was presided over for the third year running by our impeccably stylish host with the most, Darren Kennedy.
All the exciting highlights and backstage gossip from the event will be screened on TV3 at 8pm, and again at 8.30pm on 3e, on Monday the 24th of April.
