Popular pharmacy chain Boots have been forced to recall one of their cleansing products, after customers reported adverse reactions after using it.
The Botanics All Bright Cleanser 250ml bottles have been recalled after a number of users broke out in skin irritations and rashes after using it. The company released a statement apologising to customers for the ordeal and any inconveniences caused.
Boots advise that anyone who uses this product should check the item code and product number on it. If the item code is 49-98-928 and the batch number on the bottle is 1H, then discontinue use immediately.
“We have recently discovered that a batch of Botanics All Bright Cleanser 250ml (batch 1H) does not meet our stringent quality standards and in rare cases may cause a localised skin reaction.
“As a precautionary measure we are recalling this batch of product and ask you stop using it and return the product to your nearest Boots store where you’ll receive an exchange, alternative product or a refund. The batch code number can be found on the base of the product.
“We always aim to provide the best possible products and service to our customers and we’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you. If you’ve bought this for someone else would you please let them know about this as soon as possible,” they said.
