Dublin GAA star Bernard Brogan has reportedly suffered a cruciate ligament knee injury that could see him ruled out of the entire 2018 season.
The 33-year-old is said to have suffered the injury in a training session ahead of their league match against Donegal on Saturday night, and is now facing a long road of recovery.
The Herald broke the story today, reporting that if the injury requires surgery it will rule Brogan out of the 2018 league and Championship, as Dublin bid to win four All-Ireland titles in a row.
However, Bernard’s Dublin teammates Michael Darragh Macauley and Jack McCaffrey both managed to recover from similar injuries without requiring surgery.
It looks like Bernard Brogan could be out for the season after suffering a cruciate ligament injury in training last week. If he requires surgery it could be 2019 before we see him again. The five time All-Ireland medal winner was named on the starting line-up on Saturday night, but was replaced last minute by Paddy Andrews following the incident.
We hope to see Bernard back on the field as soon as possible!
