Aoibhin Garrihy has opened up about her decision to move from Dublin to Clare, revealing that she’s; “not looked back.”
The actress and wellness advocate was speaking about this huge life choice in an interview with The Irish Times, where she shared that it was the right choice for both herself, her family and her business.
“Moving to Co Clare from Dublin in 2019 was a big change, but I love living on the west coast of Ireland and it really fits with my lifestyle.”
Continuing she shared how her family has always had a strong connection to the county, so it felt right to make the move there; “I grew up in Castleknock in Dublin, but my family are from Clare, my mom from Bellharbour and my dad from Doolin.”
“So I have always felt drawn to here and I’ve always felt a strong connection to the county.”
Aoibhin also added that living beside the sea has helped with her business, BEO Wellness; “It has really inspired my work. I’m happiest by the sea, walking or swimming in the Atlantic.”
Finally, the mother-of-three shared how delighted she is to have her girls grow up in such a beautiful place; “I have happy memories of summers and holidays spent here during my childhood.”
“Knowing my own girls will experience the same brings a lot of joy.”
