“Yesterday I was extremely honoured to receive an honorary fellowship diploma from the Leinster School of Music and Drama @griffithcollege
“The LSMD has played a substantial role in my life and career trajectory both personally and professionally and so to be recognised by the faculty brings with it a great sense of joy and pride.”
She continued: “Yesterday allowed me the opportunity to reflect on the importance of the arts once again. How it gives children, young adults, students and all of us a voice, the freedom to express, to share opinions and the courage to take a stance. It is incredibly powerful and uniquely inclusive. It connects us all.
“This is something I hope to nurture in my own girls in the coming years and that makes me very excited.”
She was, of course, inundated with praise from her pals.
“So proud of you,” her mother, Clare, wrote.
“Incredible! Congratulations Aoibhin!!” Aoife McNamara commented.
“Wow congratulations!!!!” Daniella Moyles added.
“She’s settling in great! Hanorah is in Junior Infants and Liobhán is in pre-school and Isla will be pre-school next year! So we’re coming out of the fog a little bit. But it’s out of the fog and into the fire. It’s so busy!” she laughed/
“They’re getting involved in activities, so they’ve got gymnastics and they’ve dance and they’ve swimming! I now know what my mam means about being a taxi service. It’s a busy week but it’s great. I try to work around their schedule, but I’m also working on my business, Beo. But we’re all healthy and happy so that’s the main thing!”
