All the style and glamour of Ladies’ Day was evident at an exclusive event in the RDS, Ballsbridge yesterday evening, as the dates for the 142nd Discover Ireland Dublin Horse Show were announced.
Well-known faces including Big Brother’s most recent Irish evictee Jade Martina Lynch, top models Aoife Walsh, Laura O’Shea and Gail Kaneswaren and Irish designer Emma Manley were in attendance as it was revealed that this year’s glam event will take place from Wednesday, 5th August to Sunday, 9th August.
With a theme of ‘Fashion & Fizz’, the evening saw models showcase classic summer Ladies’ Day looks from Dundrum Town Centre, the new title sponsor of one of the most important social events of the summer; Ladies’ Day at the Discover Ireland Dublin Horse Show on Thursday, 6th August.
RDS Chief Executive Michael Duffy commented: “The Discover Ireland Dublin Horse Show is one of the largest sporting, social and family events in the country. Visitors to the Show will enjoy the excitement of world-class show jumping as well as a wide variety of family entertainment, shopping and exhibitions of the best in visual art and craft. We look forward to welcoming visitors to another action packed five day show this year”.
The ‘Dundrum Town Centre Best Dressed Lady’ will receive a prize package worth up to €10,000. Other prize categories on the day include ‘Great Lengths Most Creative Hat’, ‘HP Most Colourful Outfit’, ‘Longines Elegance is an Attitude’ and ‘Louis Copeland Best Dressed Man’. Judging on the day will be carried out by top Irish model and blogger Pippa O’Connor, tv presenter Laura Woods and fashion editor of the Irish Independent, Bairbre Power.
General admission tickets for one day at the Dublin Horse Show cost €21. Students/OAP’s/Children under 16 cost €15 per day and a Family day pass (2 Adults, 4 children) costs €54. For more information go to www.dublinhorseshow.com
