Alicia Vikander has opened up about her relationship with Irish star Michael Fassbender, admitting that the pair really bring out the best in each other – especially from a work point of view.
The duo met on set of their new movie, The Light Between Oceans, and their romance blossomed almost instantly.
Speaking to Porter Magazine, Alicia said, “We’ve never hidden the fact the fact that we’re a couple.
“He’s extremely hardworking. He was like, ‘Give me something new! I just need a new idea. I need to do it differently.’
“I just thought that was cool. Because that was what I was trying to do, too. To push each other and come up with new ideas each time.”
The Swedish actress previously admitted that while she initially nervous about working with Michael, she was blown away by his talent.
She told The Sun, “I was intimidated the first time I saw him because you can see in his work how well prepared an actor he is. I admired how he can step into each role he is in and yet each character feels very different.
“It felt very easy straight from the beginning. I was just back from Sweden where I had seen both Hunger and Fish Tank many years before and I thought he was one of the most brave performers and actors that I had seen.”
The movie will be in Irish cinemas on November 1.
