The first series of Dancing With The Stars wrapped two weeks ago, and already Irish celebs are signing themselves up to take part in the next season.
Marty Morrissey, Joe Duffy and Kathryn Thomas have already expressed interest, but one tv presenter will definitely not be taking part in the show, ever.
Ireland AM host Alan Hughes revealed that he will never be able to take part in the dancing competition because of scheduling issues.
Speaking to the Herald he said, “I only saw bits of it. I was asked to do it, but time-wise with the panto, I just couldn’t. I would have been working 24 hours a day.
“I can never do it because of panto. If it was on during the summer, I would jump at the chance to do it. It’s glitzy and they all did a great job on it.
“I was sorry Katherine Lynch got kicked off because she really put her heart and soul into it.”
We have to admit, we’re a bit saddened by this news. We would have loved to have seen Alan grooving on the dance floor!
