Xposé host Aisling O’Loughlin has been forced to go on early maternity leave due to an illness.
The TV3 star found herself struggling to breathe, which was a result of an extremely bad chest infection.
Aisling had been putting a lot of pressure on herself over recent weeks as she tried to juggle being ill, working on Xpose and dealing with family life, however the presenter “decided enough was enough.”
Speaking to the Herald she said, “I just couldn’t breathe properly. I really wasn’t well and I’m still getting over it, to be honest, so I decided to go off in the middle of last week and I’m on the mend now.
“I’m feeling fine apart from the hormonal fluctuations that come with being pregnant.”
The host already has two children, Patrick aged four and Louis who is two, and while can’t wait to meet her new bundle of joy next month, is excited to spend time with her little boys before the little tot arrives.
She said, “I can’t wait to meet him. It’s been kicking away, so I think it’s a bit of a wild one already.
“It’s also nice to be finally on maternity leave and get some stuff done about the house and spend time with the boys before the new baby comes.”
