Series two of BBC drama Poldark continued last night with its second instalment, and it left fans feeling pretty disappointed.
The reason for the anguish was Aidan’s chest- or lack there of. Viewers of the show took to Twitter after last night’s episode to express their anger at Ross Poldark being fully clothed for the entire episode.
Despite many praising his acting ability, fans were primarily concerned with with not seeing the Dubliner’s famous pecs, one even joked saying, “No nudity in #Poldark. This isn’t what I pay my licence fee for.”
Meanwhile, as audiences continue to comment on Aidan Turner’s fabulous body, the actor told The Irish Times that he doesn’t feel objectified by the comments, and sees taking his top off just as part of the job.
“I don’t feel objectified – it’s funny. It’s just a couple of people admiring your body. It’s just like doing any other scene, it’s the same as me galloping on a horse on a beach,” he said.
Poldark continues next Sunday on BBC One at 9pm.
