Aidan O’Mahony can’t stop gushing his other half, Denise Healy, who gave birth just three weeks ago.
It’s been a life changing few weeks for the Kerry footballer, as he welcomed his first child into the world and was crowned winner of Dancing with the Stars.
He appeared on The Ray D’Arcy Show last night to talk about his experience on Dancing with the Stars, but the topic of conversation quickly turned to his stunning wife.
“Denise was very supportive from day one. I think out of the twelve weeks she missed two weeks.” he told Ray. “She came up last Sunday night for the final as well. For someone who had a baby two weeks ago and to come up and support me, she’s amazing. She loved it,” he said.
“On Monday morning when the show finished I said to myself, my wife is at home, Lucia is at home waiting for me and it was just amazing.”
Aidan also opened up about how he’s adjusting to life as a new dad, saying he’s loving every minute of it!
“That’s what life is about. I’m a hands on dad.” he said. “I’m bringing her into the bed and giving her bad habits already. I think she’s refusing to go into a cot now and that’s dad’s fault. I’m loving the sleepless nights and everything.”
