Gillian Anderson posted a touching tribute to her co-star Jamie Dornan as the pair wrapped filming on the third and final series of The Fall.
The pair may play mortal enemies on the television series, set in Belfast, but in reality they are great friends. Filming finished yesterday on the crime drama and Gillian took to her Instagram to post a sweet selfie of the two actors. She captioned it: “Jamie Dornan, sweetest man alive, just wrapped season 3 of The Fall-TV. You’ll never meet a nicer serial killer”.
In the popular series Jamie plays Paul Spector, a Northern Irish serial killer while Gillian plays a troubled detective pursuing him.
While we’ll miss them on the BBC show, both actors are working on other ventures at the moment and we won’t be long without them on our screens. Gillian Anderson has a lead role playing Dana Skully in the new X-Files, which will return next week on RTE 2. Meanwhile, Jamie has been getting busy (ahem..) filming the second instalment of the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise.
The final series of The Fall will air on RTE later in the year.
