7 of the best brunch spots to try this weekend

Treat yourself this weekend to one of the best breakfasts in Dublin.

brunch

Whether it’s a girly catch-up planned way in advance or a last minute date with your other-half, nothing brightens up a weekend morning quite like a spot of brunch. Yummy meals and tasty treats, washed down with a piping hot coffee, or perhaps a glass of bubbles, what’s not to love?!

With so many options to chose from around the city, we’ve whittled down a few of our faves. Work your way through the list over the next few weeks, and enjoy every bite!

1. Bread 41

Located on Pearse St Dublin 2, it’s an ideal location for some weekend brunch. They have pastries to die for (the cruffins, WOW!). If you want an idea of what they offer, take a look at their Instagram feed – it’s a dream. It’s a great place for some Saturday brunch for some great prices and 3fe coffee. They open 8:00-3:00pm this Saturday and this Monday 7:00-3:00PM so make sure you don’t turn up Sunday.

3.  Storyboard

Also located on Clancy Quay in Dublin 8, Storyboard offers great food and good baristas who make the 3fe coffee perfectly. The menu is so varied and changes seasonally, with vegan options, too. This place definitely has some of the best food in Dublin. Weekend opening hours are 10:00am to 4:00PM.

4. Blás Cafe

This cafe has a very straight forward menu and is a fantastic brunch spot. The menu may be short but they do everything on their menu perfectly, and at reasonable prices. One of our favourites is the ‘Cowboy Breakfast’ featuring a feather blade steak with fried eggs, carmalised onions, cherry tomatoes served on some sourdough bread. If your feeling like a fry-up, why not go for the Blás full Irish breakfast which is only €9.95. It’s a cool, chilled out spot that is ideal for a lazy bank holiday weekend. Plus they have do Roasted Brown coffee, which is amazing. Located in Dublin 1 26 King’s Inns St, Rotunda and opening hours on the weekend are usually 10-4pm.

Póg Tara Street is based in Dublin 2 and is easy to find.  With the most Insta-friendly decor with marble tables and blush pink hues, this cafe is stunning. They have loads of vegan options and gorgeous salads. It’s definitely a good spot to bring a group and get in touch in advance to reserve a spot. Opened Saturday 9-5pm, Sunday 10-5pm and Monday 9-5pm.
