A revamped X Factor kicked off at the weekend, and it seems viewers are not too pleased about the absence of a certain Irishman on the panel.
Although Dermot O’Leary, whose parents hail from Co.Wexford, was also missing, it was a lack of Louis Walsh that sent fans into a tizzy.
Dermot was replaced by X Factor favourites Olly Murs and Caroline Flack to host the show, while the panel shake up meant that Cheryl Fernandez Versini, Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw were in alongside Simon Cowell and Louis was out after 11 years on the show.
Ratings were massively down for the comeback of the singing competition and we’re not saying that was because of a Lou-Lou shaped hole, but it definitely seemed to be the consensus on Twitter as #BringLouisBack began to trend.

Countless tweets came pouring in bemoaning the loss of the show’s stalwart judge, with one fan posting “he’s like part of the furniture at X Factor”, and another writing, “I’m missing Louis walsh on the show. He always brought a bit of fun to it.”
Here’s why VIP is missing the music mogul already.
His Cliches
You could almost predict what Louis was about to say and we LOVED it. His classics? “You remind me a young (insert obscure reference here)”, “All the girls/boys at home are gonna love ya…”, “You look like a popstar, you sound like a popstar, You are a popstar” and “You deserve to be in the final”- which he would say to absolutely everyone
His Messing
You couldn’t help but laugh along when Louis got a dose of the giggles. Like a bold child!
His Bad Jokes
Louis’ gags reminded of us when our Dad’s would try to be funny. We’ll miss the silence in the studio after one of his ‘hilarious’ one liners followed by Simon saying “Anyyyyway…”
The Novelty Acts
We have Louis to thank for Jedward. Just remember that. Also, Wagner and Johnny Robinson. <3
The Drama
Never afraid to cause a bit of controversy, Louis cracked us up with his cattiness – and of course the water fights!
At least we can still see him on our screens with this hilarious Cadburys ad!
