It may receive a hugely mixed reaction from viewers every weekend, but it seems Ray D’Arcy will have to get used to the constantly changing opinions of his show, as it’s been commissioned for a second series.
The chat show was given the green light last night, when RTE decided to give the show another chance.
Ray came under fire recently for his ‘sexist’ interview with Pamela Anderson, as well as when he brought a Jack Nicolson impersonator onto the show and introduced him as the real deal.
An insider told the Irish Sun, “It’s widely perceived that the Ray D’Arcy Show has not been a success.
“But RTE has invested so much money in bringing in Ray in from Today FM, the bosses who brought him over would face heavy criticism if they axed his show after one season.
“The Ray D’Arcy show will be back for another season.”
Well there you have it folks. We wonder what extravagant moments will be in store for us next year…
