Rod Stewart has been making the most of his time in Ireland while here for a Late Late show interview.
The Maggie May singer headed to the historical Glasnevin Cemetary in Dublin, where he paid particular interest to the grave of Grace Gifford-Plunkett, whom the song Grace was written about.
Stewart recorded his own version of the iconic song in 2018.
Dublin South 1916 Centenary Committee shared a photo of the star at the site and said: “Rod Stewart standing at the grave of Grace Gifford-Plunkett today in Glasnevin Cemetery. He has recorded a version of the Irish love song ‘Grace’ which tells the story of Grace marrying 1916 leader Joseph Plunkett the night before his execution.”
The artist took part in a prerecorded interview for the Late Late show this week, which will air on Friday.
He’ll be back in Ireland in May for his Pairc Ui Chaoimh gig in Cork on the 25th, and also has Dublin and Belfast gigs scheduled for December!
