Louise McSharry has married her long term partner, Gordon Spierin, in an intimate ceremony in Cork this weekend.
The couple shared their special day with close friends and family, almost a year to the day since she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
The beautiful bride took to social media and said, “This day last year I was diagnosed with cancer. Today I’m starting my wedding celebrations. What a difference a year makes!”

Since being given the all clear back in March, the presenter has been trying to move on and focus on the next chapter of her life: her marriage and the big day itself.
All the planning has clearly paid off, as Louise looked absolutely stunning in a white lace gown. She kept things very classy, and opted for a bright red lip to tie the look together.
Louise has been swarmed with well-wishes over the past few days, with her co-workers at 2fm leading the congratulatory messages: “Huge congrats to our Louise McSharry who got married today <3”
