The Fall star Valene Kane has landed a much coveted role on the new Star Wars movie, Rogue Ones: A Star Wars Story.
The Irish actress will feature as Lyra Erso, mother of the film’s protagonist, Jyn Erso.
Valene was thrilled to have landed a role in the movie, and told Belfast Live, “I grew up watching Star Wars and I didn’t believe it was happening until I was filming in Iceland. It has a really edgy, independent vibe.”
The movie which also features Felicity Jones, will hit cinemas this December.
Meanwhile, Valene is set to remain on our tv screens for the time being, as she stars alongside Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan in The Fall.
