Síle Seoige to host Rosabel’s Ball

To mark the 6th anniversary of Rosabel Monroe’s tragic passing, her nearest and dearest have come together to host Rosabel’s Ball.

The lavish ball will be held in Galway and they needed a very person to act as MC on the night of Saturday 22nd April.

No one could be better suited to the job than Síle Seoige.

“I am delighted to be part of such a wonderful evening. The charity does amazing work for so many families at the worst time in their lives. I am looking forward to seeing lots raised on the night,” she said of the event which will take place in Hardiman Hotel.

Guests in attendance on the night will enjoy a drinks reception like no other with Silkie Whiskey, Dingle Gin and Poachers tonic as well as a delicious signature cocktail from Coole Swan. There will be a scrumptious four-course meal prepared by award-winning chef at the Hardiman Hotel, and music from the recently reunited The Wilful will have guests on their feet all night.

Rosabel’s Rooms is a Galway-based child loss project that has become a national initiative, in collaboration with The Irish Hospice Foundation.

It was established by Gary Monroe and Suzanne McClean in memory of their beloved daughter, Rosabel Monroe, who died suddenly and unexpectedly in April 2017, aged just sixteen months.

Rosabel’s Mum and founder of the charity Suzanne said: “We work with families around Ireland who lose a child from stillbirth to 21 years, no matter what the cause of death, including stillbirth, cot death, childhood cancer, pre-existing conditions, suicide, road traffic accidents etc.

“Our Room-to-Heal Fund provides financial support to help with funeral costs, taking time off work to grieve, or whatever the needs of the family might be, a break away with their other children, who are experiencing the devastating trauma of losing a sibling.

“Our Room-to-Talk Fund enables anyone impacted by child loss to attend for therapy free of charge, with one of our listed skilled and experienced psychotherapists or psychologists, located in every county in Ireland.”

Tickets are €100 and are available online here.
