Irish golfer Shane Lowry has announced that he is expecting his first child with wife Wendy Honner.
The top golfer and nurse tied the knot in April this year and it seems they wasted no time starting a family, as Wendy is due to give birth in February of next year.
The Offaly native shared the exciting news while speaking to broadcaster Denis Kirwan in Dubai.
“I don’t know if many people even know this yet, but I might as well tell you – Wendy is expecting a baby so we’re having our first kid at the end of February,” he said.
“That’ll be nice. I’m going to play a few weeks in a row and then take some time off when we’re having the baby, then I’ll be back for Augusta.”
