Roz Purcell has shared a positive update on her alopecia journey.
She has been open about her hair loss on social media and has brought her followers on her treatment journey.
Recently, she went to a specialist to seek help for a stress-related flare-up.
She shared videos of her hair growth after she explained that she underwent two rounds of steroid injections.
She explained that the treatment has worked “so well and fast”.
She underwent two treatments and her dermatologist Dr Catriona Ryan recommended that Roz should continue her steroid application twice daily until her hair is back to full strength.
“They just worked really well for me. Maybe they don’t work for everyone, I’m not sure,” she told her followers on social media.
While her doctor is completely booked out, Roz explained that she had been told by her scalp specialist that any dermatologist specialising in scalp could administer the injections.
“At least now, like if you suffer similar with alopecia like me, getting in with a really good dermatologist and having that reassurance that if you ever notice a patch, you can call them straight away and get them to deal with it,” she said.
“It’s just amazing.”
While she admitted that there is still a bald spot on the top of her head, she is delighted that “every follicle has a hair coming from it”.
