Ronan Keating pays tribute to late Home And Away star Johnny Ruffo

Home and Away star Johnny Ruffo has tragically passed away from brain cancer.

The 35-year-old died six years after being diagnosed with cancer.

Ronan Keating took to social media to share a moving tribute to the singer.

Johnny made his debut on Home and Away in 2013 just two years after appearing on the Australian X Factor.

“This is a tough one. Incredibly saddened to hear of the passing of Johnny,” Ronan wrote.

“I Was lucky enough to work along side him on X factor Australia. Johnny had such an infectious personality. He always had a smile for everyone and treated all with respect.

“So young to be taken by this bloody disease. Our thoughts are with his family and close friends. Rest up young man. X”

A statement released by Johnny’s family and friends confirmed his passing.

“It is with a heavy heart that today we had to farewell our beloved Johnny,” the statement read.

“Surrounded by his partner Tahnee and family, Johnny went peacefully with the support of some incredible Nurses & Doctors.

“He was a very talented, charming and sometimes cheeky boy. Johnny was very determined and had a strong will. He battled all the way to the end and fought as hard as he could. Such a beautiful soul with so much more to give.

“We all love you Johnny and will remember you for all the joy you brought to our lives. Rest easy.”

Rest in peace, Johnny.
