Pierce Brosnan is like a fine wine, truly!
The Bond actor was named Sexiest Man Alive in 2001 by PEOPLE Magazine.
And now over two decades later he has picked up another sexiest award!
Yes, the Meath man has been named “Sexiest Grandpa Alive”. And rightfully so!
He beat out the likes of Kurt Russell, Michael Douglas and American weatherman Al Roker.
Honestly, we couldn’t think of a more well-deserving man!
Pierce is the proud father to five children, his late daughter, Charlotte and sons Christopher, 50, and Sean, 40, with his first wife, the late actress Cassandra Harris. He also shares sons Dylan, 26, and Paris, 22 with his wife Keely Shaye Smith.
Charlotte passed away from ovarian cancer in 2013, leaving behind two children, Isabella and Lucas.
Pierce revealed that he was a grandfather in 2015, telling the Herald: “I’m a proud grandfather now. There’s still a lot of life in the old man, and I’ll keep going till I can go no more. Life is so precious.”
Pierce has four grandchildren as Sean also has two children with his wife Sanja Banic – Marley May. and Jaxxon.
Despite being named Sexiest Grandpa, the actor isn’t slowing down at all when it comes to his work.
Recently it was revealed that Pierce is starring in The Last Rifleman where he will play an elderly war veteran who lives in a nursing home in Northern Ireland.
Spurred on by the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy, his character Artie decides to travel to France to pay his respect to his fallen friends and to face the ghosts of his past.
This movie is set to be released on November 5th on Sky Cinema.
