Even without the good weather guaranteed, Ireland has always been a favourite wedding destination among celebrities including Victoria and David Beckham and Paul McCartney and Heather Mills.

But no one does it better than the Irish themselves and we’ve rounded up the best luxurious Irish weddings of all time.

Suzanne Jackson and Dylan O’Connor

With Suzanne Jackson A.K.A SoSueMe being one of the first fashion bloggers to grace our screens it’s no surprise that her wedding day is one to take inspiration from.

The couple had their ceremony at St Patrick’s Church in Skerries where Suzanne grew up. She arrived in a silver Rolls Royce and her dress was custom Hayley Paige.

The dress was a stunning bespoke ballgown with lace sleeves which Hayley Paige designed especially for Suzanne. The couple had their reception in the five-star Powerscourt Hotel with a surprise river dance performance for their guests. 6 years later, we’re still obsessed with this Irish wedding!

Actress Amy Huberman and Irish rugby star Brian O’Driscoll tied the knot in 2010 in Co. Leitrim. They had a church ceremony, and the reception was held in the stunning Lough Rynn Castle, which is still a well-sought-after wedding venue.

Amy wore a beautiful drop waist gown with a beautiful bow at the waist designed by Welsh bridal designer Stephanie Allen with BOD looking very handsome in a three-piece suit.

The pair have since returned to Lough Rynn castle to celebrate their 10th anniversary in 2020 and we must admit it is the perfect wedding venue.

Pierce Brosnan and Keely Shaye Smith

If there’s one couple who make you believe in love it’s Pierce Brosnan and his wife Keely. The pair married back in 2001 and had a lavish after-party in the five-star Ashford Castle Co. Mayo.

The castle is over 800 years old and is still a very popular hotel destination. Keely wore a lace gown similar to Kate Middletons with pearl drop earrings.

Together the couple share two sons, Dylan and Paris, but both have children from past relationships. They are still together after almost 23 years of marriage.

Pippa and Brian got hitched in 2011. The couple were married in St. Patrick’s Church in Co. Wicklow and had their reception in the Powerscourt Hotel.

The couple were surrounded by 120 of their nearest and dearest with many celebs in attendance including Micky Joe Harte as Brian’s best man!

Pippa looked beautiful in a Monique Lhuillier dress with a feathered skirt and boned corset paired with stunning Jimmy Choo heels. The couple now have three children together and Brian surprised Pippa in 2021 with a vow renewal for their 10th anniversary.

Aoibhin Garrihy and John Burke

Aoibhin Garrihy married her long-term love John Burke in 2016. The pair tied the knot at the four-star Armada Hotel, Spanish Point, Co Clare with a beachside ceremony.

The former Fair City star Aoibhin wore a custom white gown designed by Emma Manley. The Irish designer encrusted the dress with Swarovski crystals.

Two of her bridesmaids were her sisters Ailbhe and Doireann, they wore unique outfits with aran knitted sweaters over a sage green skirt. Aoibhin and John now have three beautiful girls together and have been married for 7 years.
