It was the wedding of the year, as RTE’s Kathryn Thomas married Padraig McLoughlin in Kilkea Castle earlier this month, and VIP Magazine can now exclusively share all the gorgeous pictures of their big day, with the couple’s only interview as husband and wife.
Surrounded by 200 of their closest friends and family, the happy couple tied the knot during a private, humanist ceremony, in an afternoon filled with joy, love and laughter.
While Kathryn stunned in a backless gown designed by Umit Kutluk and Padriag looked dapper as ever in a grey tux, it was their one-year-old daughter Ellie who stole the show. The tiny tot donned a gorgeous Helen Cody guna for the occasion, looking cuter than ever.
Speaking to VIP Magazine, the new bride said, “Every time I saw Ellie in her dress, it set me off. It was so perfect. She had a giant bow on the back of her dress, like mine. Ellie just looked incredible.”
Following the romantic ceremony, which saw heartfelt performances from Padraig’s son Conor McLoughlin and Brian Kennedy, too, the group enjoyed a lavish reception- and the celebrations didn’t cease for days.
“I had the best time of my life, and I think, I hope, our guests did too,” she beamed. “It was three days of complete and utter craic. The best three days of my life.”
