Tv presenter Darren Kennedy has admitted his frontrunners in this year’s Peter Mark VIP Style Awards.
The fashionable star was present at our launch today, where it was announced he will host the Style Awards for the second year in a row.
Speaking to VIP, Darren said he can’t wait to return to the Marker Hotel on May 6 for his presenting duties.
“I’m really excited, it’s nice to get a second crack at something,” he said. “I really enjoyed last year, it’s a great night of entertainment. And that’s what it’s meant to be about, having fun, it’s about letting the hair down – even though a lot of people won’t have their hair down, they’ll be getting it put up by Peter Mark!”
Darren told us he’s not exactly remaining impartial as the host of the awards, and admitted he has his favourites.
“I’d love to see Jennifer Zamparelli win Most Stylish Woman, because I love her – she’s a messer, but she has great style,” he said.
He joked: “I was told I couldn’t be nominated for Most Stylish Man because I’m hosting, but if I had to choose a winner I’d like to see Daithi win – he’s great craic and doesn’t take himself too seriously, which is half the battle.”
The 32-year-old will be releasing the latest collection of suits from his collaboration with Louis Copeland around the time of the awards, so we can expect to see some amazing looks on the Dubliner.
And he teased that his adorable pooch Harry might be returning again this year – “He may or may not be making a cameo in a new suit,” he laughed. Fingers crossed!
