The professional dancer took to social media, writing: “Thalia ended the relationship with me and the dogs in January and returned to New York. Just wanted to thank my friends and family for all the support given to me and the boys.”
Now he has gone public with his new romance.
The former Dancing with the Stars professional is now loved up with Sylwia Matuszewska, who is originally from Poland but works for an engineering company in Co Down.
He confirmed his romance to The Sunday World saying: “I’m really happy.”
The couple has been pretty jet-setting as they enjoyed trips to Morocco as well as the Polish city of Gdansk.
Ryan and Thalia began their relationship when the model appeared on Dancing with the Stars, although they were not paired up together.
In September 2022, Thalia relocated to New York after signing with IMG Models, the same agency as Gigi and Bella Hadid, Elsa Hosk, Emily DiDonato, Hailey Bieber, Joan Smalls, Jourdan Dunn, Miranda Kerr, and many more.
Thalia has now moved home and is currently living with her best friend, Erica Cody in the capital.
“I have decided that I am moving back home to Dublin,” she shared on social media.
“Don’t get me wrong, New York was such an incredible experience and I loved it and I made the most amazing friends and I did the most amazing things and I’ve memories that are going to last me a lifetime.
“I’m going to miss so much of it and so many people and so many things, but to be totally honest my move over there for the past year has really taken a toll on me and I’ve neglected myself to be honest, both mentally and physically I haven’t been well.”
She went on to say that she needs to “prioritise” herself and she knows moving home to Ireland will be the best way to do that.
