It’s been the question on everyone’s lips.

Is Kin coming back for a season three?

It had been reported that the show had already filmed the third series, but there has been no sign of the show returning.

We caught up with Clare Dunne, who plays matriarch Amanda on the show, at the IFTA red carpet.

So can she tell us if Kin is coming back?

“Nope,” she quickly says with a laugh. “I am not the oracle! If it came back again I would be delighted. But if it doesn’t then we just have to count our blessings of what we had. Either way it’s going to be okay.”

She admits that she gets people asking her all the time if the show is coming back when she’s just walking down the street.

“It’s so lovely, it’s really nice. They’re like, ‘Please, more!’,” she jokes.

Now the show is on Netflix, she admits that it is “lovely” to have it be watched worldwide.

“Everyone looks at Netflix as some sort of cool end goal,” she laughs. “But it is another level.”

Of course, Clare isn’t sitting on her laurels. She reveals that she has just finished working on a script for her next feature film and she featured in three “indie films” as well as a “TV series I’m not allowed to name”.

Oh, we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled.
