Eagle-eyed viewers of the popular morning show, Ireland AM will notice a change this week as regular hosts Alan Huges and Tommy Bowe will be missing from our screens.
As a result of both Alan and Tommy being off, fans of the show are in for a shake-up with Newstalk presenter Sean Defoe and usual weekend host Katja Mia joining Muireann O’Connell for the week that’s in it.
Both Katja and Sean are no strangers to the morning show with Sean having previously filled in for Tommy in the past.
In fact, following their latest stint, viewers couldn’t help but express just how much they enjoyed both Katja and Sean as hosts.

“Good Morning, great Sean & Katja on this week,” one fan wrote under an Ireland AM Facebook post.
“Lovely seeing Sean and Katja,” commented another.
While a third shared: “Sean was great. Great show.”
Katja also took to Instagram to confirm that she would indeed be standing in as host all this week.
Sharing a photo of herself in studio, she wrote: “Covering Weekday AM 7-10am the whole week…prepare to be sick of me.”
Sharing her delight at being on the couch alongside Tommy and Alan Una said: “I’m feeling great, I’m feeling fresh, I went to bed early and got up early.”
