Bernard Brogan is expecting his first child with wife Keira very soon.
The GAA star announced back in May that the couple were having a baby, due this summer.
Speaking recently about the new chapter in their lives, he told the Independent: “I’m really, really excited about starting a family. I got married at Christmas a year ago and I’m in a new stage of life. Sport has been such an important part of my life for a long time, it’s given me a new perspective. It’s a really nice time for us.”
While the couple have been keeping fairly private about the news, not announcing the pregnancy until the third trimester, they revealed today that they are expecting a baby boy.
Bernard shared a photo of cute little cupcakes with the words ‘It’s a boy’ written on them.
The cupcakes appear to be sitting on a table beside a hospital bed, so perhaps the baby is arriving very soon!
