There is something in the water in the celeb/influencer world this year, as we could just about keep up the all the adorable baby announcements this year.
From bloggers to TV stars, singers and actors, there was no shortage of exciting baby news.
We’ll be looking back on some the adorable and exciting pregnancy announcements of the last 12 months.
Karen Koster
Xpose’s Karen Koster has revealed that she was expecting baby number three with hubby John in January.
The presenter revealed that she was adding to her adorable family and that she was struggling slightly more with the pregnancy than with her previous two.
“I’m very happy and very hormonal! It’s been a really magical Christmas thinking, Wow, we’re going to be a family of 5!” she told Xpose.
“The pregnancy has been more of a challenge this time though, probably with being older and having two kids already to run around after.”
In June Karen welcomed little Eve.
Vogue Williams
First up was the lovely Vogue Williams and now-husband Spencer Mathews who had a whirlwind year of exciting milestones.
After getting engaged over Christmas last year, the pair announced in March that they were expecting their first child together.
The couple shared a stripped back, sweet snap of themselves in a shoot from Hello Magazine.
Vogue said added: “I couldn’t be more delighted to announce that we are expecting our first baby! Being with you @spencermatthews is the best thing that has ever happened to me, you are the dream!”
Aww! In September, the couple welcomed little Theo!
Glenda Gilson
In April, Xpose star Glenda Gilson revealed that she and husband Rob MacNaughton were expecting a baby.
The TV presenter took to Instagram to announce the exciting news.
Sharing a photo of herself with husband Rob McNaughton and their adorable dog, she said:
“Excited to let you know myself & rob are adding to our little family,”
She added: We’re both so happy and feel so blessed that I’m pregnant… hopefully, our baby won’t be as hairy as Yazz”
How cute! Glenda welcomed little Bobby in October.
Nadia Forde
Model and Actress Nadia Forde also had a very exciting year.
The star got engaged to rugby star Dominic Day in March, and in May she announced they were expecting their first child.
“Dom and I feel incredibly blessed to be expecting a baby girl this October. We cannot wait to meet her,” she said alongside a snap of her little bump.
The couple welcomed Wyatt in October.
Louise Duffy
Louise and her husband Paul Duffy announced in May that they were expecting their first child.
The radio presenter took to Instagram to share a photo of her beautiful baby bump with the caption: “My lovely listeners, I’ll be taking a little break from my radio show next month. Just for a couple of months.”
She joked: “I’ve got a new night shift kicking off very soon!”
Louise Welcomed little Esme in July.
Bernard Brogan
Another person to share the news quite late into the pregnancy was Dublin GAA star Bernard Brogan.
In May the star announced that they would be welcoming their first child just a few months later.
“Here’s to summer 2018,” he said.
In July, Bernard surprised fans by welcoming twins!
Ciara Doherty
In July, Ireland AM’s Ciara Doherty revealed she was expecting her first child with her husband.
Speaking to her co-hosts she also added that she feels ‘incredibly lucky’ to be expecting.
The star will welcome her son or daughter in Janaury.
Rosie Connolly
Top blogger Rosie Connolly had a whirlwind of a year, as she married Paul Quinn in May and announced that she was expecting in August.
The couple already have one son together, little Harry.
Rosie took to Instagram to share an adorable snap to announce the news.
“We’ve been keeping a very big secret… Even more happiness is on its way to us…2019 we’re ready for you. Harry’s going to make the best big brother,” she said alongside the sweet photo.
She has since revealed that she is expecting a little girl.
Lisa Jordan
In September, Lisa announced that she was expecting her second child.
The blogger who goes by Just Jordan, enlisted the help of her first daughter Pearl, to announced the news.

Grace Mongey
In November Grace Mongey announced that she is expecting her second child.
The blogger AKA Faces By Grace took to Instagram to reveal the exciting news. Sharing a pic beside daughter Sienna she said, “Christmas came early.” 
Louise McSharry
It’s set to be a very exciting 2019 for Louise McSharry, who has revealed in November that she’s expecting her second child in the new year.
The 2FM star, who already has a two-year-old son Sam with hubby Gordon Spierin announced her pregnancy in the sweetest way.
Sharing a snap of the father-son duo, she said, “Delighted to say that these two and I are going to be welcoming a new family member in 2019. A baby. I’m having another baby. Just in case you thought I meant a dog or something.”
Robbie and Kerrie Brady
In October the couple announced that they were expecting baby number two!
While Kerrie and hubby Robbie are obviously over the moon, the happiest person of all, is their daughter Halle.
The youngster has wanted nothing more than a little brother or sister for quite some time, so when she heard it was finally happening, couldn’t contain her delight. 
Sharing the news on social media, Kerrie posted a picture of little Halle surrounded by ‘big sis’ balloons. The youngster was also wearing a jumper which read; ‘I made a wish and it came true, mammy is expecting baby #2.”
Emma Manley
Top Irish designer Emma Manley announced in November that she is expecting her first child with husband Eoin.
Emma took to Instagram to share the great news with her followers.

“Watch out! Baby on board,” she revealed.
Aidan O’Mahony
In December, Dancing with the Stars winner Aidan O’Mahony revealed he and his wife Denise Healy revealed they were expecting baby number 2.
“Our spring baby waiting to be unwrapped, exciting times ahead for us & big sis Lucia . Roll on March 2019” he said alongside a very sweet photo.
