Yvonne Connolly played a prank on boyfriend John Conroy last night live on air – by pretending she was about to propose to him.
The mum-of-three appeared on The Seven O’Clock Show last night and, in the spirit of Leap Day, decided to have some fun.
Keeping a straight face, she fooled both her beau, and viewers at home, into thinking she was going to pop the question.
“You know I have my boyfriend who I love very much here with me tonight,” she teased. “And I just want to ask him something in front of…wait, why is he running away?”
Thankfully for camera-shy John, the 42-year-old foodie revealed she only wanted him to help her with the dishes and laughed off the potentially awkward moment.
Hosts Lucy Kennedy and Martin King joined in on the banter, with Lucy jokingly fuming: “Dammit, I thought we had an exclusive!”
