Yvonne Connolly has opened up about the real reason she’ll never get married again, despite being madly in love with longtime love John Conroy.
The talented chef went through a very public split with her husband of 14 years, Ronan Keating, in 2011 – and although her ex went on to wed tv producer Storm Keating, Yvonne has no plans to head down the aisle a second time.
The former model has been dating cameraman John for over five years and she insists that they are “very happily unmarried”.
“I love the bones of him, he’s an amazing man, but we have no interest in changing our relationship.” she told RSVP Magazine.
“So we’ve no plans to get married or anything like that.”
It’s a full house for the couple, as Yvonne already has three children from her marriage to Ronan – Jack (17) Missy (15) and Ali (11) – and John also has six children of his own.
“The reason why we’re not getting married is because we have nine children between us, we’re not going to have any more children and we both have our families.” she said.
“It’s not that I don’t believe in marriage, I just don’t believe in marriage for us.
“But I’m not against marriage. For younger people, who want to start a family, it’s the thing to do.
“It’s a lovely way to bring up children in that environment, but for us it’s just different circumstances so it’s not for us”.
