A young Irish actor has been cast in Disney’s new project.
Irish novel Artemis Fowl is in the process of being made into a movie and many of the cast have been announced.
So far Kenneth Branagh has been confirmed as director, while Judi Dench and Beauty and the Beast’s Josh Gad have also been confirmed as well as young Irish actor Ferdia Shaw.
Ferdia will play the role of Artemis and was chosen out of 1200 candidates.
Artemis Fowl is a 12-year-old genius who finds himself in a battle against a powerful, hidden race of fairies who may be behind his father’s disappearance.
The novel, written by Eoin Colfer, is set in Ireland as well as various fantasy locations.
We can’t wait to see it.
