Yeehaw! Here’s what everyone is dancing for DWTS’ Country Week

Dancing with the Stars will bring a never-before-seen twist to proceedings this Sunday evening with the introduction of a very special theme: Country Week!

Yes, the Quarter Final is here and we’re down to our final six contestants.

They will be showcasing their cowboy skills on Sunday night. Here’s what everyone will be dancing…

Rhys McClenaghan and Laura Nolan

Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Rhys McClenaghan and his professional dance partner Laura Nolan will perform an American Smooth to Nathan Carter’s classic version of Wagon Wheel.

Danny O’Carroll and Salome Chachua

After finding himself in last Sunday’s Dance-Off, Mrs Brown’s Boys actor Danny O’Carroll will be hoping his luck will change when he and partner Salome Chachua take on a Quickstep to Johnny Cash’s Ring of Fire.

With a string of entertaining performances under his belt, chef, Kevin Dundon glides into week nine alongside his professional dance partner Rebecca Scott with a Charleston to Rompin’ Stompin’ by Scooter Lee.

Kayleigh Trappe and Ervinas Merfeldas

Lip-syncing social media star Kayleigh Trappe and her partner Ervinas Merfeldas will reel off a romantic Rumba to I Will Always Love You by Dolly Parton.

Having earned her first ever 10 paddle last week, former Miss Universe Ireland Aishah Akorede will be hoping to maintain her good form when she and partner Robert Rowiński Jive to Lainey Wilson’s recent country hit, Hang Tight Honey.

Completing the line-up will be Taekwondo athlete, Jack Woolley dancing a Quickstep to Dasha’s 2024 top five hit Austin (Boots Stop Workin’) alongside his pro dance partner Alex Vladimirov.

Week nine also sees the annual Team Dance challenge return! After they’ve danced, the final six couples will be divided into two teams of three. The couples will perform again in their teams hoping to increase their judges’ scores.

Whatever they earn in the Team Dance will be added to their individual score meaning everything is to play for. The teams and their dance challenges will be revealed later this week.

The two couples with the lowest overall points when the judges’ scores and public vote are combined will face the dreaded dance-off where one will miss out on a place in the series semi-final.

Dancing with the Stars airs this Sunday at 6:30pm on RTÉ One
