Yasmin Seky may be saying goodbye to Dancing with the Stars after her jive failed to impress the judges during Love Week, but she’ll always have a place in our hearts.
We caught up with her after her elimination and spoke about her newfound grá for the Irish language.
During her VT, she and her professional partner, Simone Arena went to Aon Scéal, a coffee shop in Dublin which is all as Gaeilge.
She told VIP Magazine that she’s always wanted to learn a “native language”.

“When I was younger my dad always spoke another language in the house. He would have spoken Fante because he’s from Ghana,” she tells us.
“So wanting to learn a native language is something I’ve always wanted to do. My partner is a Gaeilgoir, so he speaks Irish fluently and Aon Scéal is where we go for coffee in the morning and for breakfast, just so I can practice it.”

She smiles as she says: “It is something I’m really trying to get back into.”
We are sad to see her leave Dancing with the Stars, but we’re hoping to see her back on our screens very soon. Maybe through Irish!
