It was a massive shock when Yasmin Seky and Aishah Akorede landed in the second Dance Off after giving it their all on Love Week.

However, it was ultimately Yasmin who went home from Dancing with the Stars.

VIP Magazine caught up with her just after the end of the show as she discussed how proud she was of her journey on the show.

“I think as the weeks went on I’ve improved so much. But I had to go at some stage,” she says with a smile.

However, she is quick to add: “Personally I feel like it was a little bit early. We were pretty close to the bottom of the leaderboard. If I didn’t mess up in the dance-off it could have been different. It’s a competition!”

Of course, Yasmin is aware that her face gives everything away, she jokes: “With my face, it tells everything. I might be an actor but when it comes to me personally, my face will give it all away.”

While she admits she was confused by the “comments versus the scores”, she understands that at some point she would have to leave the competition.

“At the end of the day, it is what it is. Do I think pointed toes should have landed me in the danceoff? No!”

Despite leaving with a month to go in the competition, she is proud of her journey on the show.

“Since dedicated dance week, I’ve just come out of my shell and I feel like I’ve achieved what I wanted to do. I do think my confidence was showing on the floor tonight. I am who I am, my personality is my personality and my opinions are my opinions. It came across in my face.”

We’re devastated to see her go, but we loved going on this journey with Yasmin!

Dancing with the Stars continues on Sunday at 6:30pm on RTÉ One
