VIP Towers did a double take when we saw this photo of our favourite flame-haired actor in the new Star Wars epic. Domhnall, son of acting legend Brendan, plays evil villain General Nux in the upcoming movie – and doesn’t he look unrecognisable!? There’s certainly no sign of the bushy beard he was sporting for a bonding session with brother Brian in Dublin recently!
The 32-year-old looks smouldering in his latest role, and fans have been excitedly reacting to the photos which were leaked on Twitter by Entertainment Weekly. The images were previously teased at San Diego Comic Con, but this is the first time they have been released to the public.
Domhnall stars alongside Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and has previously spoken of his excitement for his latest project.
“It’s a huge honour and a little bit scary to take it on yourself, it’s a bit mad,” he said at Comic Con.
“I did like Star Wars when I was a kid. I saw the prequels first, I didn’t see the full original films first all the way through,” he admitted.
“So I went back and watched them all on a big screen and that made me incredibly excited about it. I’ve loved every second.”
Sadly for fans, there will be no official trailer released until late September or early October – but fear not! You can check Domhnall out in the full official trailer for Brooklyn, which also features his fellow Irish co-star Saoirse Ronan, and looks simply gorgeous: it hits cinemas in November.
