Last week, Doireann Garrihy announced that she would be leaving her role on RTÉ 2FM.
She has been hosting the Breakfast Show on the radio station for the past five years.
At the end of the month, she will step away and focus on her projects outside of radio, including her two podcasts.
However, her decision to leave the radio show has raised questions about her future as co-host of Dancing with the Stars.
Rumours have been flying that this could be the end of her time with RTÉ completely.
However now it looks like she will be continuing on with the beloved series.
Per The Irish Sun, Doireann can stay with DWTS and she won’t have to declare her income from other ventures in her life.
A source told the publication that Doireann’s time on the series would be “12 to 20 days”.
“Requirements for staff and contractors may vary depending on their role and the number of hours worked for RTÉ
“For contractors substantially employed by RTÉ and staff members in editorial or content production, RTÉ requests approval is sought for external activities to avoid a potential conflict of interest if the activity undertaken could be perceived to impact on RTÉ’s impartiality.”
Doireann has hosted Dancing with the Stars for the past two years after she replaced Nicky Byrne on the series. She and Jennifer Zamparelli are a serious dream team!
