Paul Galvin has opened up about his impending wedding to Louise Duffy, and gushed about how no matter how much he tried, he’d wouldn’t be able to upstage the bride-to-be on their big day.

Despite his recent venture into the fashion world, the GAA star has admitted that there’s “no fear” of him out-doing Louise during their New Years wedding.

In an interview with Ireland AM, the sports star said, “It would be very hard to upstage Louise, wherever you go with her. You couldn’t upstage her. But we’re obviously excited it. We’re looking forward to the day now. It’s getting closer and closer.”

The wedding will take place on New Years Eve, and the couple want to keep it a low-key and very traditional event.

“Once it (the day) is everything that Louise wants it to be, that’s the most important thing,” he said.

Paul also revealed that he’s yet to write his speech, and isn’t certain on what he’s going to wear: “I’ll probably go with a black three-piece suit, I think.”

Maybe it’s time to start arranging that, Paul!
