Just a few weeks away from her due date, 2FM radio presenter Bláthnaid Treacy has gone on maternity leave.
The radio host from Wicklow has had to step away from the weekend breakfast show early since suffering from severe back pain during her pregnancy.
Thankfully, the team has found a brilliant new talent to keep us entertained until Bláthnaid returns.

Shannon Keenan a Youtuber, podcaster, content creator and radio presenter will be covering for Bláthnaid Treacy on 2FM.
The Dublin-based creative started off her career in media in 2017 with an internship at Goss.ie.
After her time with the online magazine, Shannon started up her own Youtube channel called “Shannonigans” where she created fun lighthearted videos to keep her viewers laughing. After creating videos for two years the channel gained over 16 thousand subscribers.
But with all her other freelance projects, Shannon has had to say goodbye to YouTube for now. She posted her last video in January 2020.

From covering shows on Spirit FM to presenting her own show “10 Minutes of Shannonigans” on Qfm Shannon has her fair share of Irish radio experience.
Although she has worked on every RTE radio show across the weekday and weekend schedule, Shannon is probably most well known for her segment, “Shannon Gets Job” on Drive It with the 2 Johnnies.
You can hear Shannon on 2FM every Saturday and Sunday between from 7am to 9am.
