Westlife touch down in Dublin ahead of Croke Park gigs

westlifeWestlife have arrived back on Irish shores ahead of their Croke Park gigs over the weekend.

The group have been travelling around Europe as part of their Twenty Tour, performing a string of live shows.

After a night in Denmark, Mark, Shane, Nicky and Kian have returned to Dublin – and upon their arrival, shared a glimpse of Croke Park from the sky.

“This old lady is looking stunning,” said Nicky as they flew over the stadium. “Who’s going?”

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the gig tomorrow night:

Stage Times 

Gates- 5pm

Wild Youth – 6pm

James Arthur – 7.05pm

Westlife – 8.30pm

Ticket holders have been asked not to queue prior to the gates opening at 5pm.

Security

Bags larger than A4 size will not be permitted. All bags may be searched and there will be no storage facility.

No umbrellas, alcohol, garden furniture, selfie sticks, flares, glasses or cans, among other items, will be permitted at the event.

The promoter deems the that large outdoor concerts are not a suitable for children under 5 years old and there is no facility in place for babies or small children at the venue.

Age Restrictions 

Under 14s are not allowed on the pitch either accompanied or unaccompanied.

All under 16s must be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian.

Westlife

Transport 

If you are driving you must allow for at least 2 hours extra travel time to and from he venue, for this reason attendees are advised to take public transport where possible.

Dublin Bus – Services serving Croke Park (1, 13, 16, 33, 40/B/D, 41/A/B/C, 44) are operating as normal.

Extra Dart and Luas services will be provided both days.

Full Nightlink services will also operate on both nights.

Weather 

The weather is forecasted to be overcast but warm both evenings, with highs of 18-20 degrees.

The Saturday night performance is being broadcast live across cinemas in the Uk and Ireland. The broadcast commences at 8pm, Patrons have been asked to be in their seats by 8pm for this reason.
