What better way to ring in the New Year than in the company of the one and only, Westlife?
Westlife has been confirmed to headline Dublin’s New Year’s Eve festival for 2022, alongside special guests Lyra and Gavin James.
Taking place along the North Wall Quay, the festival will continue for two days and will feature a brand new Festival Village, and a set of 2 countdown events.
Speaking in anticipation of the event, Westlife said: “2022 has been an incredible year for us, seeing so many of our fans from around the world up close and personal, but there is always something extra special about a home crowd, so as we head into 2023 let’s do the countdown together, in style, at Dublin’s New Year’s Festival Dublin. It’s going to be an unforgettable party”.
On December 31st, a matinee will take place at 4pm to suit all the family, followed by the main evening event starting at 8pm.
The festival will feature a whole host of amazing Irish artists, with DJs performing live across 6 stages along North Wall Quay.
An abundance of impressive street entertainment will occupy the North Wall Quay, and delicious treats and refreshments will be made available in the Festival Village until late on the night.
Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media Catherine Martin TD is excited for the festival’s full return and shared: “This is the first full-scale New Year’s Festival to take place in the capital since 2019 and is a flagship event for the Winter in Dublin campaign, which will encourage domestic and international visitors to celebrate in Dublin this New Year’s”.
Tickets for Westlife at the NYF Dublin Festival Village (priced €34.90 including booking fee) and Midnight Moment Matinee (Early Bird Tickets from. €7.90 including booking fee) will go on sale on Thursday 17 November at 9am from Ticketmaster.
