Clelia Murphy has paid a touching tribute to her pet dog, Charlie.
The actress, currently taking part in Dancing with the Stars revealed her dog, which she had for 15 years ‘will be terribly missed’.
Sharing a photo of the gorgeous pooch, she said: “Yesterday we said our forever for the moment goodbye to Charlie Dog. #theoldestdoginireland He’s been running away and stealing chocolate since we rescued him in 2004. You were a good pal Charlie dog and you’ll be terribly missed.
She added: “Gizzards is a bit lost without you. We all are. Hope you’re happily dragging at a bin full of chocolate somewhere Xxx He loved a bin #neverendingstory #rescuedog#rescuedogsofinstagram #rescuehuman”
Clelia clearly adored her dog, which is evident in the various photos she shared on him on Instagram over the years.
Speaking last year to VIP for our VIP Loves column, Clelia revealed that she reckons he might have been the oldest dog in Ireland.
Alongside a photo of her two dogs, she wrote: “Charlie and Gizmo… Charlie the dog (top) is I am convinced, the oldest dog in Ireland. We rescued him in 2004 and he was at least 2!”
