Sharon Ní Bheoláin certainly wasn’t impressed with Daire Hickey, co-founder of the Web Summit, yesterday evening as she conducted one of the most awkward interviews we’ve seen in a while.
The RTE presenter turned the interview segment into something which resembled more of an interrogation as she grilled Daire for over five minutes, barely giving him a chance to speak and answer her questions.
She started the interview obviously disgruntled as Paddy Cosgrave, event founder, “pulled out” of the feature just before they went on air.
Daire bore the brunt of Sharon’s frustration, as she harshly grilled him about the event’s move to Lisbon, as well as expenses surrounding the summit.
