Eve Hewson has made a name for herself in the acting scene.
But now she’s showing off her musical skills and it looks like she picked up a thing or two from her dad.
The Dublin actor will appear in a brand new film on Apple TV+, Flora and Son.
The film follows the journey of single mom Flora, a young mother living in Dublin who lost touch with aspiration long ago and is at war with her teenage son, petty thief Max.
“Flora and Max’s brash rapport is both hilarious and revealing of their struggle to understand each other – she searches for autonomy and self-love masquerading as selfishness, while his longing for independence and self-expression manifests as delinquency,” reads the official Sundance synopsis.
“When the two connect over a twice-discarded used guitar, the uniting power of music brings them closer than what simple proximity can provide.”
The film has been described as “charming, uplifting, and musically dazzling.”
In the trailer, we see Eve’s character learning to play guitar with the help of American guitar teacher played by Joseph Goron Levitt.
Sharing the trailer, Apple TV+ reminded us: “Never underestimate a Dublin woman with a guitar.”
The film also stars Irish actor Jack Reynor and is directed by Irish Oscar-nominated director John Carney.
Flora and Son premiers on September 29th on Apple TV+.
