Vogue Williams has revealed that she had a near-death experience as a child.
The podcaster explained to her husband Spencer Matthews that she had a very scary brush with death at just 11 years old.
She told the story of tying herself up and throwing herself in a pool to see if she could free herself.
The problem was that there were no adults supervising her do her Houdini-esque trick!
“The only time I nearly died, it’s a really weird story and it actually freaks me out when I think about it because I find it so worrying,” she shared on her podcast, Spencer & Vogue.
“I was once in a swimming pool and I was on my own and left to my own devices. I tied myself up with a dressing gown rope and threw myself into the pool to see if I could get out.”
She continued: “Nobody else was there. I was only like eleven so I wasn’t thinking, ‘Oh if you don’t get out then you’re dead’. I was just seeing if I could untie myself underwater.”
Of course, all’s well that ends well, as Vogue did manage to free herself and swim out of the pool.
“It really freaks me out to think about it that there was such a high chance of me not being able to untie myself. I think I did it like three or four times. So I feel like that’s the closest I came to death and someone was really looking out for me,” she confessed.
Well, it’s lucky that she was being watched over.
