Virgin Media news broadcaster, Richard Chambers has revealed he is releasing his first book later this year.
Already a familiar face on the news, Chambers’ popularity soared throughout the pandemic as, as well as appearing on the TV every evening, he also kept his followers on social media up to date with the latest facts and statistics.
The Clare native’s first book is set to be called ‘A State of Emergency’ and will cover Ireland’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Within we will see Chambers interviewing frontline workers, politicians and health officials, for their experience over the last year and a half.
Speaking about the exciting announcement Chambers shared; “I’m so proud to have been given the opportunity to work on this book and the privilege to tell the untold story behind the year all our lives changed.”
“The book will detail, with unprecedented access: The tension and rows behind the crunch meetings that changed the course of our recent history; the lived experiences of our health care workers; and the personal toll it’s taken on so many families across our country.”
A State of Emergency will be published by Harper Collins on the 18th of October this year.
