Una Healy is a busy woman, she jokingly reminds us that with two children she’s “always kept busy”.
But aside from that she has her radio show on Absolute Radio Country, she has her shoe brand and she even teases that new music is on the horizon.
“I’m writing a lot at the minute, so I’m back into my music. I’m excited to get some new tracks out,” she tells us at the Platinum VIP Style Awards launch.
And of course, she’s delighted to be nominated once again for Most Stylish Woman.
“This is my third year at the awards, since I’ve moved back from the UK it’s been an annual treat! It’s been great that I’ve been able to go the last couple of years. I’m honoured to be nominated again,” she adds.
So with her schedule full, could she possibly fit in a reunion with her band, The Saturdays?
“This has to be the most asked question!” she laughs when we ask.
“But we don’t have any plans at the minute to do anything. But I hope some day we do. It would be a shame not to. The time has come for Girls Aloud, it’s lovely that they get to do it in memory of Sarah as well. She will be missed. She was such a huge character and voice in the band. But it’s a good sign for us as well, it’s selling out everywhere and everyone is ready for it. So give us a couple of more years! Then we’ll be ready.”
So will she be having some nice family fun with Aoife and Tadhg over the Easter break?
“Aoife’s confirmation is coming up in April, so just a few weeks. And Easter is at the end of this month! I don’t have anything exciting planned but we’ll probably do a little staycation just to get out of the house. Tadhg is so busy with all his sport, he can’t be away for too long because he’ll miss training!”
